How to Release Grace through Speaking in Tongues

Summary:

Praying in tongues is a way to release the supernatural power of God. When we pray in the spirit, or pray in tongues, we speak the mysteries of God and pray the perfect will of God. It is through praying in our heavenly language that the Holy Spirit is able to make intercession for us in ways that go beyond our natural understanding.

1. By renewing our minds with the Word.
2. By using our faith.
3. By acknowledging all the supernatural resources we have within our spirits.
4. By praying in the Spirit.
2. When we pray in the Spirit, our spirits are praying, but our minds are unproductive (1 Corinthians 14:14-15, AMP).
1. The early Christians started praying in tongues when the Holy Spirit came upon them on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:46).
1. They spoke in foreign languages they didn’t know (Acts 2:6-11).
2. Foreigners who heard these Christians praying understood their own dialects as they were spoken by the Christians, and they heard these people speak about the mighty works of God.
3. Early Believers also received power by the laying on of hands (Acts 19:6, 7; Acts 8:18).
4. Jesus commissioned all Believers to operate in the same power He did. This was also demonstrated by the early Believers (Mark 16:15-18).
