BENEFITS OF PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT

BY: PASTOR CREFLO DOLLAR

1.      Benefits of praying in the Spirit:

2.      When we pray in the Spirit, we renew our strength (1 Corinthians 14:4).
a.       Praying in the Spirit helps us make spiritual progress (Jude 1:20).
b.      Earnest, heartfelt prayer draws power out of us (James 5:16, AMP).

3.      When we pray in the Spirit, we pray effectively for the unknown.
a.       The Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us when we pray in the Spirit (Romans 8:26).
b.      When we pray in the Spirit, we pray the will of God. The Holy Spirit makes everything work out for our good (Romans 8:27-28).

4.      When we pray in the Spirit, we draw from the supernatural resources within our spirits (Philippians 1:19, 20).
a.       There is supernatural wisdom on the inside of us. However, we must know how to draw it out (Proverbs 20:5; Proverbs 18:4; Proverbs 10:11).

5.      When we speak in tongues, we speak mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2).
6.      Praying in the Spirit ushers us into the supernatural realm where other gifts begin to manifest.

7.      Praying in the Spirit quickens, or gives life to, our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11).
8.      Paul spent a significant amount of time praying in the Spirit (1 Corinthians 14:18).

9.      He operated in divine power; He prayed in tongues by the grace of God (1 Corinthians 15:9, 10).

10.  Jesus prayed in the Spirit before demonstrating tremendous power.
11.  He prayed in an unknown language before raising a girl from the dead (Mark 5:41).

12.  He spoke in an unknown language while on the cross (Mark 15:34, 35).
13.  Jesus spoke in an unknown language before healing a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment (Mark 7:33, 34).
