TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD

taste and see that the LORD [is] good

1.      Psa 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD [is] good: blessed [is] the man [that]             trusteth in him.

a.       Trusting the Lord will open you to taste and see that the Lord is good.

b.      His words are spirit and life.

c.       It’s the spirit world that makes the nature world.

d.      John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life.

e.       Life comes from the spirit of God, just as death comes from the spirit of the antichrist.

f.       As I am obedient to what God is revealing to me in the spirit, I will see the manifestation of what I am being for in the natural.

g.      Now I am tasting and seeing the Lord is good.

2.      The Lord will reveal in His word, what I am to feed upon and where.                                        a.   For he [is] our God; and we [are] the people of his pasture, and the    sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

b.   His voice which is His word (logos on pages of the bible, but becomes His voice when revelation comes)

3.      Don’t expect to receive the meat of God without doing the work of God which is His will.

a.       John 4:32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

b.      John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

c.       Seek and save the lost is his will for us.

d.      Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

e.       Then you can start tasting and seeing that that the Lord is good all the time to me.

5 Most Effective Weight Loss Foods

5 Most Effective Weight Loss Foods

Weight loss will be affected mainly by food that your diet is centered around. It is a fact that certain foods help you lose weight more than others. On the other side; certain food choices literally inhibit weight loss while others can harm your health. Here are 5 most effective foods for weight loss that can fit easily into a healthy diet.

Lean proteins are important to maintain muscle while losing fat. High fat proteins are not only bad for your weight and size but can be harmful to your health. It is also well known that highly processed meats are linked to certain health risks and diseases. Strive to eat wholesome, lean proteins like fish, chicken breast, turkey breast, flank steak or tempeh for vegetarians.

Vegetables that are high in fiber tend to be low in calories. They also may contain high amounts of water that can be rich in minerals. The natural fiber can help you feel full, helping you to avoid over eating. It can also act as a natural cleanser of your digestive tract, clearing waste and debris that can add pounds and make you feel sluggish. Look for vegetables like cabbage, celery, and Romain lettuce.

(mobile only) (mobile only)Spicy foods can be metabolism boosters, when use with a healthy weight loss diet. You can make dishes as home that are healthy, low in calories, high in nutrition and metabolism boosting. Stir fry dishes are popular, easy and delicious as they use plenty of fresh vegetables, lean proteins and spices like ginger, garlic and cayenne pepper. This combination can even help your body burn fat.

While not a food, water is just as important as part of your weight loss diet. Water helps clear your body's blood, lymph and even liver and kidneys. Do not make the mistake that soda can replace water for the sugar or side effects of diet soda counteract any amount of water contained.

Drink clear, fresh water. Add a little fresh fruit juice, if you prefer a little flavor. Fresh squeezed lemon juice is known as a natural body cleanser that helps your body flush fat, clear waste and even can kill bacteria.

Green tea is a dieter's choice for those looking to lose belly fat. Research has consistently shown for years that those who added green tea to their daily weight loss diet lost more belly fat than those who didn't. This may be why green tea is also related to healthy heart and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.

While a healthy lifestyle creates a healthy body, your diet should be the focal point of a healthy plan. The foods you eat can help your body work more efficiently so it can drop the pounds. On the other hand, the foods you eat can clog your body so that it cannot run efficiently leading to weight gain, sluggishness and foggy mind. So choose your weight loss plan wisely and, as always, see your doctor if you take medications.

Foundational Scripture:

I.  Proverbs 23:7a

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

    2. Psa 1:2-3  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

See, Hear, Understand, Convert and Be Healed

See, Hear, Understand, Convert and Be Healed

Intro:   We know that that Rms.10:8-10 says “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

But how does the word get into their heart and mouth?

Rms. 10:14 They can not hear without a preacher?

Preachers and teachers are to teach sound doctrine and be able to expound the word of God and give a defense of the faith, and to admonish when necessary. In addition to the ministry of preaching and teaching, other ministries given to the church are those of apostle, prophet (prophetess), evangelist, pastor (feed; shepherd), and helps (helper). In the fellowship of believers, however, all are called to minister (add) and to make intercessions. (Vine's complete expository dictionary)

  1. Yesterday I told my niece to help her little sister learn math. Or teach her what she knows about math.
  2. That’s all the Lord ask His children to do; teach others what they know about the Kingdom of God.
When we teach others about the Kingdom of God it causes them to see, hear and understand their need for a savior.

  1. Once a person truly understands by the conviction of the heart, that they are in the world lost without hope, they are ready to enter into the Kingdom of God.
  2. Your life style brings conviction of the heart to the sinners.
  3. They see you living a godly life style, they hear you speak inline with the word of God, now they are ready to understand why you live and speak the way you do.
  4. You are allowing the manifestation of the fruit of the spirit in your life  (Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, ect……)
  5. Because of your obedience this person is ready to be converted and healed.
  6. Matthew 13:15  For this people's heart is waxed gross, and [their] ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
  7. Heal means to free from errors and sins, to bring about (one's) salvation  (Strong's G2390)
  8. 2Cr 4:4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
  9. Always remember; one plants another waters but God gives the increase.  1Cr 3:6  I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
  10. See, Hear, Understand, Convert and Be Healed.

Character of a Disciple

Intro:  This is the year of discipleship.

2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-  ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

I.      Disciples left careers to follow Jesus

1.     They left there job, profession, career, livelihood to follow Jesus.

2.     Matthew 4:18–22.

a.     This calling was not a ordinary call, it was a holy calling.

·         2 Tim. 1:9  Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began

b.     God delights in using ordinary people.

c.       The lessons learned in life and occupation will prove valuable in serving Christ. The fishermen could use their experience in netting people for the Lord

d.     Genuine obedience is evidenced by immediacy or without delay.

e.      Don't think I've come to make life homly. I've come to cut—make a sharp knife-cut between son and father, daughter and mother, bride and mother-in-law—cut through these cozy domestic arrangements and free you for God. Well-meaning family members can be your worst enemies.

f.       If you prefer father or mother over me, you don't deserve me. If you prefer son or daughter over me, you don't deserve me. Matthew 10:37

II. Willingness to face persecution

1.     Acts 21:10–14.

a.     Agabus — a “prophet,” probably one of the seventy disciples of Christ. He prophesied at Antioch of an approaching famine (Acts 11:27, 28)

b.     Paul’s service for the Jews (symbolized by the belt) would result in his being captured by them.

c.      Would this stop you from going?

d.     Would you be ready, motived, enthuse, eager to face Harassment, maltreatment, bullying, hounding discrimination so that the will of God can be fulfilled in your life?  Church that is exzally what it’s going to take.

e.      How does that saying go, ‘If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.’ It sure feel a lot better when you are standing for The Truth.

f.       Jesus said remember the word that I said unto you, Jhn 15:20

III. Marks of disciple in service

          1.  Paul realized that there are always people who are looking for an excuse not to listen to the message of salvation, and if they can find that excuse in the inconsistent life of the preacher or believer, so much the better. So he reminds the Corinthians that he gave no offense in anything, that the ministry might not be blamed. The ministry here does not refer to some dignified, ecclesiastical office, but rather to the service of Christ.

           2.  2 Corinthians 6:3–13.

           3.  Rom 13:8  Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

IV. Holy Spirit in life commitment or obligation

1.     2 Corinthians 3:7–8, 17-18, 4:1-4.

In Conclusion:

·        We are here to disciple the world. We should be reproducing just as Jesus came to show us.

·        What ever God has blessed you with, let that be a tool to win others to the Lord.

·        Each one of us should have someone we are discipling.

·        I pray that God will open your eyes so you can see who that person is.

·        If we are not reproducing why are we in the kingdom of God?

·        Church Jesus is coming back soon we need to be about our Fathers business.

·        Allowing the H.S. to use us and bear fruit that only He can.

How to live a successful life

How to live a successful life
Pro 4:4 He also taught me, and said to me: "Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commands, and live
There are 4 things we are going to draw from this scripture.
  1. Taught
  2. Retain
  3. Keep
  4. Live
I. Taught- to throw, to direct, teach, instruct
  1. To live this life you must be willing to learn
  2. Mar 1:22 And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
  3. Mar 2:13 Then He went out again by the sea; and all the multitude came to Him, and He taught them.
  4. Mar 4:2 Then He taught them many things by parables, and said to them in His teaching:
  5. Mar 6:30 Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught.
II. Retain - to grasp, hold, support, attain, lay hold of, hold fast
  1. Your body retains food until its process; you retain the Word of God to process or practice it. As you practice the Word it becomes a life style.
  2. Pro 3:18 She [is] a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy [are all] who retain her.
a. This is the reason some Christians are not happy, they are not retaining the Word.
  1. Pro 29:23 A man's pride shall bring him low : but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit
a. Upholding the Word brings honor.
2. Isa 41:10 Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
a. Upholding the Word drives fear away.
3. Isa 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, [in whom] my soul delighteth ; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles
a. When Gentiles see us upholding the Word of God they will see the result of making good decisions.
III. Keep- to keep, guard, observe, give heed
  1. Luk 19:40 But He answered and said to them, "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out."
a. I don’t know about you but I don’t want anything crying out to God in my place
2. Jhn 14:15 -24"If you love Me, keep My commandments.
a. We respect our natural parents by doing what they tell us. We are known as good children when we do so.
b. Should we do any less for God?
3. Psa 119:33-34 Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, And I shall keep it to the end. 34 Give me nderstanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
IV. Live- to live, have life, remain alive, sustain life, live prosperously, live for ever, be quickened, be alive,
be restored to life or health

  1. Jhn 6:58 "This is the bread which came down from heaven--not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever."
  2. Jhn 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
  3. Act 17:28 "for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.'
  4. Psa 119:144 The righteousness of Your testimonies [is] everlasting; Give me understanding, and I shall live.
  5. Pro 9:6 Forsake foolishness and live, And go in the way of understanding.
Closing: Pro 4:4 He also taught me, and said to me: "Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commands, and live
Teachable spirit + Retaining the Word of God + Keeping it unpolluted = A SUCCESSFUL LIFE
