I.
God has a
Plan & Purpose for your Life
1. Jere. 29:11
For I know the thoughts and
plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare
and peace and not for evil, to
give you hope in your final outcome.
2. Eph. 4:11
THEREFORE, the prisoner for the
Lord, appeal to and beg you to walk (lead a life) worthy of the [divine]
calling to which you have been called [with behavior that is a credit to
the summons to God's service,
II.
God wants
you to know it
1.
Jere. 33:3
Call to Me and I will answer
you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which
you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and
understand).
2.
Col. 1:9-10
For this reason we also, from the
day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for you,
[asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of
His will in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive insight into the
ways and purposes of God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual
things--10That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a
manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in
all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and
increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer
insight, acquaintance, and recognition].
3.
Is. 30:21
And your ears will hear a word behind
you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand
and when you turn to the left.
4.
Eph. 5:15-17
15Look carefully then how you walk! Live
purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as
wise (sensible, intelligent people),
16Making the very most of the
time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.
17Therefore do not be
vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what
the will of the Lord is.
III.
Your
strongest talents & abilities reveal God’s design for your life
1.
Rom. 12:6-8
6Having
gifts (faculties, talents, qualities) that differ according to the grace
given us, let us use them: [He whose gift is] prophecy, [let him prophesy]
according to the proportion of his faith;
7[He whose gift is]
practical service, let him give himself to serving; he who teaches, to his
teaching;
8He who exhorts (encourages),
to his exhortation; he who contributes, let him do it in simplicity and
liberality; he who gives aid and superintends, with zeal and singleness of
mind; he who does acts of mercy, with genuine cheerfulness and joyful eagerness.
2.
Ex. 31:1-5
1AND THE Lord said to Moses,
2See, I have called by name
Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah .
3And I have filled him with
the Spirit of God, in wisdom and ability, in understanding and intelligence,
and in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship,
4To devise skillful works,
to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze,
5And in cutting of stones for
setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of craftsmanship.
3.
Eph. 2:10
10For we are God's
[own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew]
that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for
us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in
them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to
live].
4.
Ps. 20:4
4May He grant you
according to your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans.
